"Sling Blade" movie star, Billy Bob Thornton, was in an accident and was taken to the hospital last Friday morning, Oct. 29, when his car collided with another vehicle in Los Angeles.
60-year-old Thornton was only a passenger in his car in West Hollywood and he reportedly suffered a head injury due to the collision as reported by The Economic Times.
Paramedics rushed to the scene and brought the actor to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA. Thornton complained that he was hurt on the head and was examined in the hospital. The American film maker was shortly released after medical tests and check ups and even went back to the set to work on his latest film as reported by The Daily Mail.
In addition, a representative of the "Bad Santa" actor informed the media that the hospitalization and examination of Thornton was a precaution before continuing work.
Despite his car accident and trip to the hospital, the Golden Globe-winner even accompanied "Tomorrowland" actor George Clooney and "Minions" actress Sandra Bullock at the premiere of "Our Brand Is Crisis" on Monday, Nov. 2 in LA.
With make-up artist and wife of one year, Connie Angland, the actor walked on the red carpet with his signature tattoos, shades, a black tank shirt, blue jeans and black boots with silver and gold designs.
The premiere of the comedy-drama "Our Brand Is Crisis" showed in theatres in the US on the same day of Thornton's car crash, where the actor portrays an opponent to the campaign manager of Bullock.
While Thornton is recovering from the unfortunate incident, the "Fargo" star is currently working on two upcoming films such as "Trial" by David E. Kelly and the sequel of "Bad Santa" called "Bad Santa 2."
Additionally, the driver of Thornton's vehicle and the passengers of the other car were not reported to be injured. The actor and his representative did not release or comment on any further details regarding the accident.
