The creators of Xbox, Microsoft Corporation, has revealed in September a customized Xbox One Elite controller for the game "Forza Motorsport 6," with the theme conceptualized by the new Ford GT.
The latest Ford vehicle was featured on the box for the video game "Forza Motorsport 6" and the controller was designed after the model. From its liquid blue color design and even to the controls themselves, the customized controller seems like an extension of the car itself.
The triggers of the controller were built to be like the gas and break pedals of the Ford vehicle. The left analog stick was also patterned after the steering wheel of the Ford GT, providing position and direction for the player.
Ford adds that the liquid blue case was built with carbon fiber parts for lightweight handling and durability for the user. The battery casing is transparent, similar to the Ford GT's visible rear glass view of its engine. Ford aimed for the controller to stay true to the Ford GT as reported by Gamespot.
Though the features seem to capture the attention of potential buyers and encourage car-loving players to buy, the controller however, is not for sale. According the Xbox Hardware Team, the customized console is set to be only a "one-off design exercise," giving players a view of the possibilities with the design of the controller.
This is not the first time where personalized and customized controllers have been released by the Xbox Hardware team, with several designs also inspired by the racing or car theme.
While fans and players marvel at the Ford GT inspired controller, the Xbox One Elite will cost customers $150 and it will include the Xbox One Elite console, which is reported to be 20 percent faster than the previous model. The bundle was made available last month as reported by Ubergizmo.
