10 Facts About Adele’s Song ‘Hello’

Adele has confirmed that there would be a world tour to promote her new album titled "25"

1. "Hello" is Adele's first song released after her three-year hiatus. The last song she released before "Hello" was "Skyfall,"

2. Adele co-wrote "Hello" with Golden Globe-nominated producer Gregory Allen Kurstin.

3. Adele's "Hello" was inspired by Tom Waits, Kurstin told Entertainment Weekly. The theme of the lyrics of "Hello" is similar to that of the lyrics of Waits' 1970s hit song "Martha," which is calling a former lover.  

4. The heartbreaker who inspired the 2011 album "21" is not the inspiration of "Hello," Adele told Rolling Stone.

5. "I Killed My Mother" director Xavier Dolan directed the accompanying music video of "Hello," which stars Adele opposite "90210" alum Tristan Wilds.

6. The "Hello" music video set the Vevo Record as the first music video to have more than 27.7 million views within 24 hours only. It broke the record of the music video of Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" featuring Kendrick Lamar, which achieved more than 20.1 million views in the same timeframe.

7. The "Hello" music video set another Vevo Record as the music video that attained 100 million views in the shortest time. The music video of "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus previously held the record.

8. Adele is credited as a drummer on the "Hello" track.

9. The first time Adele performed "Hello" live was on Nov. 2. The live performance will featured in the BBC one-hour special titled "Adele at the BBC."

10. Adele will make the live "Saturday Night Live" performance debut of "Hello" on on Nov. 21.
