Mortal Kombat X is a fighting video game developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

While developer NetherRealm Studios has confirmed that there is an expansion to the current iteration for "Mortal Kombat" franchise, there are no more details, especially concerning the characters that will be included to the roster. The already great list of fighters when the game was release becomes even greater with the roll out of "Kombat Pack 1."

Scanty information regarding the upcoming "Kombat Pack 2" has compelled fans to make guesses as to who can be the next challenger.

Wolverine is among the characters that would appear as fighters in the next "Mortal Kombat X." however, this was just a rumor based on the silhouette of characters that the developer company released for the announcement of "Kombat Pack 2." Executive producer Ed Boon teased about the image in one of his previous tweets precursory to the upcoming expansion.

Some observers such as PlayStation Universe listed some veteran characters for the next DLC. Among the likely fighters that would make it to the roster are Smoke, Baraka, Rain, Bo Rai Cho, and Sindel. This list makes sense because the fighters were already included in the previous "Mortal Kombat" titles.

Apart from the veterans, there would also be fighters outside the sphere making an appearance in the next DLC, in the same way Jason Voorhees appeared in "Kombat Pack 1." It is also speculated that Spawn and the Xenomorph from the "Alien" series of the movies will feature in the next DLC.

The possibility of Xenomorph featuring in the next expansion follows Boon's confession that he is a great fan of the series, as well as the Predator who is already part of the roster.

Meanwhile, Gamespot cited that among the four major characters featuring in "Kombat Pack 2" are Drahim and Havik.
