Rumored new 4-inch iPhone will not include 3D Touch support.

New rumors say that Apple will be introducing iPhone mini in 2016.

According to a report by respected KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo,Apple is likely to release a new 4-inch iPhone that resembles an upgraded iPhone 5S. He added that Apple can move 20-30 million of such a phone.

Kuo believes that the Cupertino-based tech giant will partner with Foxconn exclusively in manufacturing the device, GSM Arena reported. The analyst says Apple will move to further differentiate the biggest and mid-size iPhone 7 models, by giving the Plus extra RAM. He believes that this is the best action plan of Apple since only Sony is offering a compact line of device with 4.6-inch screen.

Kuo believes that the new 4-inch iPhone will not include 3D Touch support as part of an effort to keep it differentiated from the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. The device will be equipped with an A9 processor to handle iOS 9 (or next-generation iOS 10 run smoothly) and expected to have similar 2GB of RAM, according to Mac Rumors. The device will have a metal casing.

Kuo has a strong track record that makes him particularly convincing. Over recent years he correctly predicted the launch of the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhones, as well the two sizes of the Apple Watch, the new 12-inch MacBook, and pretty much the entire spec sheet for the iPhone 6S.

On the other hand, a new iPhone " will debut in September of 2016, sticking with Apple's usual annual release pattern. The Apple is expected to introduce a revamped external design for next year's handset, though Kuo did not shed any details on those changes.
