Super Mario Maker New Update Adds New Easter Egg, Totem Link, Shinya Arino, New 100 Mario Challenge Feature, Checkpoints And More; Fixes Glitches

According to recent reports, game developer Nintendo has rolled out the new 1.20 update for Super Mario Maker. The update adds many new features and checkpoints and also fixes key glitches.

The update comes with a new feature that will make it faster to complete the 100 Mario Challenge. The 1.20 update adds new features in the 100 Mario Challenge which enables gamers to speed up the sequences occurring at the starting of a run, between courses by pressing the A button and when Peach gets carried off.

Furthermore, the Super Mario Maker latest update has added a new Easter Egg related to checkpoints, according to Nintendojo. When getting past a checkpoint when the course has been finished, occasionally, doves will fly from it. It does not occur too frequently, therefore, players may have to get past checkpoints a number of times to check out the Easter Egg.

The Super Mario Maker new update also includes two new features - The Legend of Zelda: Tri-Force Heroes' Totem Link and Japanese comedian Shinya Arino.

Gamers can play as Shinya Arino via his Event Course and Totem Link is playable via the Tri-Force Heroes Event Course. If players manage to beat the levels, they will unlock the costumes so they can use them themselves.

The Super Mario Maker new update has also fixed some glitches, Nintendo Enthusiast reported. Trampolines in Super Mario World now do not permit players to have higher jumps when carrying an item. Also, invisible platforms that are created with Hidden Question blocks and Cloud Blocks have now been fixed.
