As each day passes, it is looking more and more likely that Steven Yeun's Asian-American pizza-delivery-guy-turned-badass-zombie-killer character Glenn may have survived dire straits in a recent shocker on AMC's The Walking Dead -- but it doesn't mean there aren't a few more shocking surprises in the very near future.
There are many theories to support Glenn's survival, despite efforts by showrunners to 'fake' out viewers into thinking Glenn is really dead.
These measures included even scratching Yeun's name in the opening credits of the last episode, entitled "Here's Not Here" which is actually a Morgan-centric episode where 90 minutes of airtime was utilized to shed light on the Lennie James played character.
In episode 4 of the hit series called "Thank You", Glenn was last seen lying the ground with at least 50 zombies huddled around him as they appear to be ripping his internal organs out from his chest (which many fans believe is actually Nicholas who has become zombie buffet).
Despite the seemingly impossible circumstances, fans believe Glenn has somehow made it out alive and is traversing the sewers beneath the city trying to reunited with friends.
Still, this hasn't stopped showrunners from trying to convince the audience that Glenn is actually dead (but we shall wait and see), including Scott Gimple who released a pre-prepared statement immediately after the episode aired.
"And knowing you'd all be talking and feeling and commiserating, I knew we should say something about it, lest our silence say something we didn't mean to say or not say. So I'll say this: In some way, we will see Glenn, some version of Glenn, or parts of Glenn again, either in flashback or in the current story, to help complete the story," said Gimple.
Despite the possibility that Glenn may indeed be alive, fans have reason to be worried for another character's demise -- the insanely popular Daryl Dixon, played by Norman Reedus.
Daryl, who many may or may not know, is NOT part of the original comic book series created by Robert Kirkman. He was introduced in the first season as the brother of antagonist Merle Dixon.
The two brothers were basically ass-kicking country boys, with the younger Daryl being the more kind-hearted of the two, hence endearing him more to fans of the series.
Reedus has signed on to star in a new reality show by AMC focused on motorcycles, the likes of which his Daryl is seen riding frequently in The Walking Dead. This leads a number of people to speculate that Daryl will soon be 'offed'.
"Having Reedus in a new series could serve to ease the blow on those who tune in weekly to specifically see his character. Then again, they could simply be trying to achieve maximum exposure for a beloved actor on their network. It's anyone's guess at this stage," said Cinema Blend writer Conner Schwerdtfeger.
According to various sources, Glenn's fate will be revealed in the seventh episode of the season which airs November 22. As for Daryl, well, fans will have their fingers crossed.
