Although "Kingdom Hearts III" was shown off in a trailer during this week's D23, the clip was not released to the public. On-site sources showed the teaser's new gameplay techniques and character models.
"Kingdom Hearts III" fan site KH13 revealed the firsthand account of the game. As opposed to player demand, the promo did not reveal any new worlds that Sora and friends will travel to. However, there was emphasis on raw gameplay techniques in combat.
A clear ability indicated that in some circumstances, Sora can lock on to as many as 10 heartless while at the same time crushing them at a lightning speed. Goofy as well has a special attack that allows three party members to ride on his Mickey Mouse shield.
Also similar to the attacks, a new screenshot reveals Sora using Buzz Lightyear's Astroblaster as a group attraction flow strategy, according to Gamespot. It seemingly draws from the ride of the same name that is found at many Disney theme parks. However, this does not necessarily imply that a "Toy Story" world will feature in the final game.
"Kingdom Hearts III" reworked combat appeared fast enough that it was a surprise to the avid fans in attendance.
In addition, the trailer revealed a few enemies. There is a flower-like heartless and the first appearance of a Nobody. With regard to the storyline, Nobody's sighting confirms that the enemies made popular in "Kingdom Hearts II" will also be causing problems in "Kingdom Hearts III."
Although there was no much information concerning the plot, the new clip expanded on the Eraqus and Xehanort dialogue featured during this year's Tokyo Game Show and E3 conferences. The promo as well revealed a final sequence that showed Sora, Kairi, Ven, Riku, Terra, Roxas, Aqua, Namine, and Lea together.
"Kingdom Hearts III" is now in development for Xbox One and PS4.
