Fans of the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise have been waiting avidly for the third installment of the game, and as such speculations are on regarding new character developments.
However, it seems that the anticipation will end this November, as Disney will be hosting a D23 Expo in Japan from Nov. 6 to Nov. 8.
Additionally, a "Kingdom of Hearts" event will be held before that on Nov. 3, according to Latinos Post. The event will unveil the latest information and video of the upcoming "Kingdom Hearts III" game.
Although it is speculated that the game will have a multiplayer mode, yet a Game Designer of Square Enix based in Osaka has updated his Linkedin profile stating that a part of his duties were "Multiplayer Planning and Documentation" for "Kingdom Hearts III".
On the other hand, the rumors of new playable characters have neither been confirmed, nor denied by Tetsuya Nomura, the game director.
However, he did comment that he cannot disclose anything, but "maybe, something will happen there."
Notably, the multiplayer gaming mode is not the conventional style of "Kingdom Hearts III", and having new characters does not mean that they will have multiplayer functionality, according to Designs & Trends.
Just a month ago, it was reported that "Kingdom Hearts III' was not ready and the basic game mechanics and system have been finished.
The director also mentioned that they were having challenges in developing the HD game in present gaming consoles - but apparently all seems fine now.
Presently, there has been no official declaration of the release date or the status of the game, but with Japan Expo on tow, possible dates as well as the development status may be declared.
"Kingdom Hearts III" is scheduled to release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
