“The Winds of Winter” is the sixth installment of the of “A Song of Ice and Fire,” the basis of HBO’s popular series “Game of Thrones.”

It is rumored that the much-anticipated "Winds of Winter" book release may happen in Jan. 2016.

According to Australia Network News, rumors abound that the book is currently at the publishing house.

Polish translator Michael Jakuszewski was roped in to do the complete translation of "Winds of Winter" from English to Polish and the Polish version will hit the stands during the Christmas season, according to Polish website Piesnloduiognia.

The book will be released reportedly before the show premieres on HBO. This will indeed make a lot of sense, if it actually happens. The sixth season of the HBO series will be based from the said book, and it will not do the book any good if it is released after the show is released.

The book contains the plot of some of the part of season 6, which was one of the main reasons that pushed author George R. R. Martin to complete the book as soon as possible. The 67-year-old author also revealed that he was not very happy with the plot of "A Dance of Dragons."

This urged Martin to write not one, but two war scenes in "Winds of Winter." One will be a battle at Meereen and the other will be a battle in the ice.

On the other hand, 2016 is sure to bring a huge treat for all the fans of "Game of Thrones" as the sixth season is set to be released in 2016. However, there are rumors that "Game of Thrones" Season 6 was delayed so as to accommodate the release of "Winds of Winter."

The book is overdue for four years, after the latest book in the series "A Dance of Dragons" was released in 2011.
