Both Justin Bieber's and One direction's new albums initially planned for a Nov. 13 release leaked earlier on Nov. 7 which has angered Beliebers and Directioners.
The leaks happened in a few stores including certain Walmart stores where sales of their albums happened before their official release. Whether there was a certain confusion between the Nov. 6 Friday or the following Friday (Nov. 13) regarding the release, fans are not amused.
According to Fans, Bieber and One Direction have put a lot of effort into their up and coming albums and, therefore, to have them leaked before their unveiling has come with much negativity. However, it is worth mentioning that One direction's "Made in the A.M" already leaked 10 days before its release date, Unreality reported.
As soon as the news hit the masses that some stores had begun stocking the albums a week early, the hashtag #NoPlayPurposeAndMITAM started trending on Twitter. According to Hollywood Life, together as one, Bieber's and One Direction's fans united to inform everyone not to play the albums or leak them before their release.
Some of the messages that circulated Twitter read something like this; "show respect. Do not Leak. They both worked so hard." Another fan with a Twitter ID, @AmineBou33, posted a screenshot of some of the albums on display, along with a caption, "please do not ruin everything by buying the albums before Nov. 13."
Rumors suggest that sales that have already happened will not get included in the overall sales data. It is, however, not clear if this is true, but one thing is for sure; Bieber and One Direction are not pleased with the news.
