David Yates’ “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” hits theaters on Nov. 18, 2016.

The plot of David Yates' forthcoming fantasy film "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" has been revealed.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Yates' "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" would be set in 1926 New York and centers on the exploits of magizoologist Newt Scamander as he came to the city's underground community of witches and wizards.

Scamander also had his "trusty weathered case," which was a bit larger than Hermione's beaded purse, as per Cinema Blend. The interior of the case is bigger, containing extensive habitats for rare and endangered magical creatures from the magizoologist's travel across the world.

In his exploits in the United States Scamander learns that people who know mystic arts are hiding from the Muggles, who were previously called "No-Maj," in addition to the fact that the threat of being exposed in the public is a deeper issue in the United Kingdom.

With the situation, the story will also explore the events when the creatures in Scamanders' case got out from their small habitat.

Aside from Redmayne, the film also stars Colin Farrell as Graves, Katherine Waterston as Propentina Goldstein, Dan Fogler as Jacob, Alison Sudol as Queenie, and Ezra Miller as Kredan, among others.

"Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling also penned the source material, which will serve as guide for the film's story. However, exact plot details, additional characters, and cast are yet to be revealed.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is also the cover story of Entertainment Weekly this week. The publication mentioned that it would feature spoiler-free behind-the-scenes look at the film, along with interviews with producers and cast.

Yates' "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is slated to premiere in theaters in United States on Nov. 18, 2016.
