Russell Brand revealed that he regretted living a posh, celebrity lifestyle with Katy Perry.

British comedian Russell Brand revealed that he regretted living a posh, celebrity lifestyle with Katy Perry.

In the trailer of the upcoming documentary titled "BRAND: A Second Coming," the actor expressed how he despised to be related with a luxurious lifestyle during his 14-month marriage with the "California Girls" singer, according to People Magazine.

"I'm living, like, this life of the very thing I detest: vapid, vacuous celebrity," Brand said in the documentary.

As the comedian stayed in Africa back in 2010 for an event managed by the United Kingdom's Comic Relief organization, Brand eventually started questioning the similarities the actor had with the pop singer, Daily Mail reported.

Katy is reportedly distressed and "embarrassed" by what Brand said in the documentary.

Likewise, a source told Grazia Magazine that having to remember the regrettable union with Brand pains Perry and leaves the American singer with shame and vulnerability.

In other news, "BRAND: A Second Coming" reveals the 40-year-old Brand joking about Perry, 31, during the comedian's stand-up events. The documentary also reveals the activist confessing to Stephen Merchant that the romantic relationship with Perry would not last for long.

Similarly, Oasis lead guitarist Noel Gallagher appears in the film and states that Brand's relationship with Perry would definitely end.

"BRAND: A Second Coming" premiered at the 2015 South by Southwest multimedia festival in March in Austin, Texas. Directed by Interloper Films CEO Ondi Timoner, the British film exhibits the transformative events during the last five years of Brand's life.

While the documentary provides a relatively positive perspective about the comedian and activist, Brand was not entirely pleased with the work, claiming that the film exudes melancholy and digs into events that Brand views as personal.

The 2015 documentary can be pre-ordered bundled with a 15-minute short titled "Russell Brands the Bird."
