It is reported that the "Roar" singer wanted children, but Mayer was not ready for the commitment resulting in the couple's last break-up. Since getting back together, Mayer revealed that he is on board, but would prefer to make Perry his bride first before a child comes along.

A source close to the couple quoted by Life and Style said, getting married is a priority for Mayer, and the couple is considering a wedding in the summer.

The couple was recently seen holding hands and was openly affectionate in Wyoming at a mutual friend's Allison Williams and Ricky Van Veen's wedding .The source added that being at the wedding together, helped the duo come to a realization, that both of them have something special between them.

It was previously reported that Perry had come down with "baby fever" and was adamant to have a child as soon as possible, especially with the singer turning 31.

At the time, it was reported that Perry was hoping to try for a child as soon as her Prismatic World Tour ended in Oct. However, with the recent developments, reports suggest the couple have already begun plans to set a date for the big day.
