Clash Of Clans (COC) Update Release Date Delayed As Supercell Likely To Push For Big Christmas Upgrade – Report

Supercell's "Clash of Clans"

The Clash of Clans big update that Supercell first hinted to arrive this November is likely delayed to December 2015 with the possibility that the main COC feature upgrades and the rumored Christmas Special update will be delivered all at once, a new report said.

As the promised Sneak Peeks of the new COC features remain out of sight, the likelihood of a delayed update touchdown looms since the previews serve as the solid signal that the upgrade is coming soon. As Clashers are also expecting that a special Christmas update is also in the pipeline, the chance is high that it's going to be a 2-in-1 upgrade, The BitBag reported.

If true, the move makes sense as Supercell has earlier stated that "there's going to be changes across the board," the report quoted the company as saying during the October 24 ClashCon. "This is gonna be one of the biggest updates we've done to Clash," Supercell said.

The BitBag recalled that while the Level 11 Town Hall upgrade has become the focus of the upcoming expansion, the COC maker also indicated that "many more things," can be expected, which also means that great amount of work entails the entire process.

Also, Supercell's Anoushka said in a recent forum post that the COC update is a work in progress and echoed the clues dropped during the ClashCon that TH11 is not only the big thing that the game bump will unpack.

And it will save time and effort on Supercell's part to simply package the latest COC update and Christmas theme together, the report said.

On top of the special Christmas update, Clashers are expecting TH11, a bigger map size, sharing of loots among allied clans, a fourth spell, Level 8 Barbarians or other character enhancements and the introduction of a third hero to join the Barbarian King and Archer Queen. This new main character is said to possess the fresh ability of engaging in Clan Wars while upgrading.

As Supercell is super-silent on when the actual update release date is, it was suggested that Clash of Clans fans will only need to watch for two signs that will tell the upgrade is imminent - the rollout of feature Sneak Peeks and COC maintenance breaks.
