Star Wars Battlefront is an upcoming action video game based on the Star Wars franchise developed by DICE and distributed by EA Games.

With the much-awaited shooter title from DICE and Electronic Arts, players can now enjoy the newest take on "Star Wars Battlefront." As a bonus, EA has also announced a companion app for the title, now available on iOS and Android devices.

The "Star Wars Battlefront" companion app brings a few features that would allow players to enjoy their game even when they are not in front of their respective gaming platforms. There are a few additional features of the app worth noting, as detailed over at the official "Star Wars Battlefront" website.

Part of the "Star Wars Battlefront" companion app is the Base Command, a card-based stand-alone game that functions apart from the original title. This means that fans who only download the companion app can still play this regardless if they have a copy of "Star Wars Battlefront."

Base Command has Siege, which is a mission that requires strategic card play. The payout for winning each siege face-off are Credits, which can be used in the "Star Wars Battlefront" game. Base Command is easy enough to play, especially for those who have already handled card games. Apart from using any of the aerial vehicles to fight against enemies, players will need to monitor the attack power, defense and health of everyone involved in battle.

Strategic players will also consider the Perks that are part of the enemy's set-up, as this can easily sway the tide their favor or at the very least, challenge the way players set up their attack and defense.

EA has also revealed some new customization option available for "Star Wars Battlefront." It appears that the newly revealed images are some of the choices that players have to customize the look of their soldiers, DualShockers reported.

There are a total of 18 faces that can be unlocked at the get-go. These include men and women faces, though players should not expect any alien races in the options. As players progress through the game, there are other unlockables, accessible once the player gets to the necessary rank level and spends the appropriate credits for them.

Human faces are reasonably priced at 1,700 credits, though one redheaded female face costs 2,200 credits. Those who prefer to get alien heads should take advantage of the free in-game credits that the "Star Wars Battlefront" app provides. Prices for alien heads are pegged at around 17,000 credits. Still, these can only be attained once a player reaches level 40 to 50. The link above features a gallery of all the available faces.
