'Captain America 3' Rumors: New Details On Martin Freeman's Character Revealed; Black Widow To Die In 'Civil War' Film? [VIDEO]

Joe Russo and Anthony Russo’s “Captain America: Civil War” is set to hit theaters on May 6, 2016.

New "Captain America: Civil War" details will reveal Martin Freeman's character, as well as the rumored death of Black Widow in the film.

Marvel's first movie line up for phase 3 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe features an impressive cast of characters from the likes of War Machine (Don Cheadle), Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) etc. to newcomers such as Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Baron Zemo (Daniel Bruhl).

But one character still remains an unknown figure in "Captain America: Civil War" as "The Hobit" star Matin Freeman is added to the cast in an unspecified role. As of now, Freeman's character in the third installment is still a mystery as several fans speculated that his character could be an important government figure in the MCU. Freeman has been hinted to be Marvel characters such as Everett K. Ross, a United State's government agent in Wakanda and England's prime minister Edward Chase.

However, a new theory suggest that Freeman's character could an older version of SSR agent Daniel Sousa from "Agent Carter" TV series, Moviepilot reported. Daniel Sousa was played by "Dollhouse" actor Enver Gjokaj and has been an ally to Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) during the events of season 1. The rumor futher revealed that Sousa and Carter became romantically involve, although it did not reveal if they end up marrying together.

Aside from Freeman's character, there are also rumors making rounds that a major character's death could be one of the Avengers.

Fans speculated that Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) could be one taking the fall as it is stated that she will die during the fight between Captain America (Steve Rogers) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), The Christian Post reported.

Black Widow is one mainstay figures in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and her death is said to have major impact in Steve Rogers' life leading to question whether he still has what it takes to fight the good fight. Black Widow will be joining Iron Man's team along with War Machine, Vision (Paul Bettany), Black Panther and Spider-Man (Tom Holland).

"Captain America: Civil War" will be released in cinemas on May 6, 2016.
