NBA News & Rumors: Kevin Durant Sidelined Again With Hamstring Strain, Says He'll Play When 'Ready To Play'

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant is in the hot seat again.

Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant is reportedly going to be sidelined for seven to 10 days after suffering a left hamstring injury during the second quarter of their 125-101 victory against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday, but told reporters that he will play when he's "ready to play".

"Whenever I feel right, whenever I feel ready to play again, that's when I'll play," said Durant, who recently have been rumored of becoming a primadonna and a media and fan hater. "It was a long process of me getting back, and to get hurt again is unfortunate, but whenever I'm ready to play again, I'll play."

ESPN reported that team doctors gave him a week to 10 days to get back on the court again, but it seems like the 2014 NBA MVP is his own doctor.

Actually, it is quite obvious that Durant just doesn't know how to handle the attention and pressure that a basketball superstar is typically generating, which is why he had been saying a lot of unnecessary comments that draw the ire of both fans and media alike.

Just recently, before their abovementioned game with the Wizards, the six-time All-Star called Washington fans as "disrespectful" to the Thunder for trying to woo him to be in their team when his current contract expires in the summer of 2016, as per Sports Illustrated.

As expected, Durant's comment resulted in a lot of booing when he stepped the floor of the Verizon Center.

Weeks ago, he also had a falling out with Stephen A. Smith, a veteran and well-respected broadcast journalist, as both had called each other "liar" when the latter reported that the Los Angeles Lakers is his prime destination when he enter free agency next year.
