First quarter earnings' report released by Redmond has also mentioned about couple of major takeaways of the MS Group. In fact, results highlighted the latest financial report structure that mainly divides the entire earnings of the company into three different segments, all of which focused mainly on cloud, productivity and personal computation methods.

Especially, earnings obtained during the first quarter of Microsoft demonstrate adjustable revenue equal to 21.7 billion dollars, driven mainly by the innovative concepts and techniques of cloud. In addition, the category of Intelligent Cloud that includes solutions such as Azure and Windows Server has shown increase of about 8 percent to hit a big amount equal to 5.9 billion dollars. Success of the concept of cloud stands in stark as compared to decline of the personal computing segment of MS Group; as highlighted 17 percent of revenue topples to 9.4 billion dollars.

Microsoft continues to reduce its costs with new action of job cuts to target about 1,000 employees. Such layoffs would affect hardly 1 percent of the entire workforce contained by the company, while large numbers of business areas. According to the comments given by one of the spokespersons of Microsoft Company, "Reductions in jobs had spread widely across multiple areas of our business and country. Moreover, it had reflected our necessary adaptations to meet key business needs."
