After officially introducing the latest HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor earlier this month, Chinese giant Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. is now preparing to announce and unveil its latest high-end smartphone, the Huawei Mate 8, on Nov.26.

Under the hood, the Huawei Mate 8 is expected to pack the new Kirin 950 processor which, according to a recently leaked AnTuTu test, scored higher than Samsung's own Exynos 7420 chipset (used in the Galaxy S6) in terms of performance.

The Kirin 950 chipset will come along with a quad-core 2.0 GHz Cortex A57 + quad-core 2.4 GHz Cortex-A72 CPU, and a Mali-T880 MP4 graphics processing unit.

The telecom operators include China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom.

In addition, the Huawei Mate 8 is rumored to sport a 6.0-inch display screen with either a 1080 x 1920 or 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. The phone is rumored to pack possibly a 4,000 mAh battery that will come with fast charging capability.

The Mate 8 could have a 3GB or 4GB of RAM, up to 32GB/64GB of built-in memory storage, a powerful 16 or 20.7 megapixel rear-facing camera and an 8 megapixel front-facing camera, according to GSM ArenaOther specs include a fingerprint sensor, support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC and LTE connectivity.

In the meantime, another Huawei smartphone, called the P9 Max, is also expected to be powered by the Kirin 950 processor. This device was recently spotted in an AnTuTu benchmark.
