Elderly Man Teaches Younger Man

In a new touching photo a stylish young man sitting on a train station bench was dressed to impress, but had problems tying a necktie knot. An elderly couple noticed the youngster struggling with the accessory, so the older man gave the younger man a lesson about how to tie a tie. The scene was captured in a heartwarming photo that has gone viral on the social network Facebook.

The husband and wife were at the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) station, according to The Huffington Post. They were waiting for a train.

Redd Desmond Thomas was the photographer who snapped the photo of the tender moment. The image includes his caption.

Thomas shares that the woman sporting a red coat was the first person to notice that the young man was all thumbs tying the necktie.

The elderly woman asked the youngster if he knew how to tie the tie properly. He replied, "No ma'am."

Then the woman tapped her husband. She asked him to give the younger man a lesson about how to tie the neckwear.

The elderly man wasted no time giving him a step-by-step tutorial about how to tie up the necktie. However, he then watched to make sure his student could do it without any help.

Thomas ended the caption with the final words "I LOVE THIS." He posted the photo on Facebook on November 14, Saturday, and it has since received 445,000+ Likes, according to Today.

One man responded that the elderly man's altruistic action was a model for how humans should treat other people. He commented, "Well done."
