"You are free now. I will love you always, dad. I can feel you with me. Rest now. In PEACE. I miss your voice. I wish more people could have heard it. I promise I will keep singing for you."

Despite her father's death, Jojo went forth with her scheduled appearance to sing the national anthem at the Quicken Loans Race for Heroes in Phoenix, Arizona on Nov. 15, Sunday, Cele Buzz reported. She dedicated the moving performance to her late father who was a disabled veteran.

Meanwhile, the Massachusetts native found herself in a years-long legal battle with her record label that kept her out of the spotlight, until her father's death which has come as a negative attention.

Embracing Jojo's message of loving and understanding each other better, fans continue to give their condolences to her, on various platforms.
