Zygarde is the key character in "Pokemon XY & Z."

Rumors have it that the Pokémon Z and Pokémon GO release date will most likely happen February 2016, which should be a perfect timing as the month will mark 20 years since the first Pokémon game title was issued.

However, the report remains speculative for now as both The Pokémon Company and Nintendo are keeping most of the Pokémon-related details close to their chest. Thankfully, some information managed to leak out that provides a glimpse on what gamers can expect.

The spotlight is trained at the moment on Zygarde, which Master Herald said, appears to be the chief Z hero. Zygarde in Pokémon Z is said to assume five different forms and will eventually evolve as Zygarde Core.

Coming to that stage, gamers will witness the incredible powers bestowed on Zygarde that will easily overwhelm the other main characters identified as Xerneas and Yveltal. The two are known as the legendary Pokémon X and Y heroes beloved by fans of the popular game title.

But Zygarde brimming with nearly unbeatable capabilities as the new Pokémon gameplay design will require tons of patience for the character to evolve and actually reach its maximum form, Master Herald said on its report.

Now Pokémon Z, as mentioned, will roll out with Pokémon GO that reports said will have a unique gameplay that is optimized for augmented reality thus the inclusion of a suggested gaming device called Pokémon GO Plus.

By itself, the concept is interesting but as noted by Master Herald two things need to be present for the GO to gain traction in the Pokémon franchise. The gameplay needs to have a universal appeal to draw in old and new players and Pokémon must ensure that the game is fully playable with or without the GO Plus device.

Reports are claiming that the Pokémon Z and Pokémon GO release date will happen no later than February 27 2016 but fans are watching for the December 15 issue of Japanese magazine CoroCoro, which teased on its latest edition that an explosive Pokémon announcement will be made on that date.
