Premier League 2015-2016: Everton vs Aston Villa, Preview, Prediction & Predicted Lineup

| Nov 18, 2015 06:30 AM EST

Everton defender John Stones (R) competes for the ball against West Ham's Manuel Lanzini.

Mercurial team Everton FC (4-3-5, 17 points) will look to find more consistency in their game against bottom-dweller Aston Villa (1-9-2, 5 points) at the Goodison Park this Saturday, November 21st for a 2015-2016 Premier League matchup.

Despite having only three losses so far in the season, Everton had failed to come up with a decent winning streak to propel them up the league table. Currently, they are in the ninth spot losing two, winning one, and drawing one of their last four matches.

Their most recent game was a 1-1 draw with reeling contender West Ham United at the Upton Park on November 7th, as per BBC Sport.

Hammers midfielder Manuel Lanzini opened the scoring at the 30th minute before Toffees striker Romelu Lukaku canceled it out two minutes before the halftime break. Both teams were unable to dig in for a winner in the second half to settle for a tied finish.

Meanwhile, hard-luck Aston Villa pulled off a stunning 0-0 draw against league leaders Manchester City at the Villa Park on November 8th to add a point to their total in the overall standings, via SkySports.

Rémi Garde's boys ended their seven-game losing slide with the drawn game and at the same time allowed Arsenal to tie City at the top with 26 points apiece, only that Manuel Pellegrini's side has a higher goal differential.

The Toffess are projected to win a close one at home against an inspired Villans eleven.

The prediction is a close 1-0 decision for Everton.

Everton starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Howard; Coleman, Stones, Galloway, Funes Mori; Koné, McCarthy; Barkley, Deulofeu, Barry; Lukaku

Aston Villa starting lineup (4-3-3 formation): Guzan; Clark, Amavi, Hutton, Richards; Sanchez, Gueye, Veretout; Ayew, Gil, Sinclair
