Up until today, the specific release date for the Surface Book 2 is still unknown, but it is confirmed that the laptop would not be launched any time this year.

Rumors claimed that Microsoft Surface Phone dubbed as "Juggernaut Alpha" will be released next year integrated with Intel Skylake chipset.

Microsoft is a prime software brand, but it has been trying to extend its dominance in the hardware market for quite some time. The company managed to traverse the hardware sector thanks to its revolutionary Microsoft Surface Pro 3 hybrid device.

Now, after acquiring Nokia years ago, Microsoft is trying its hands in the competitive smartphone market. After the Surface devices clicked with consumers, the company is capitalizing on the brand line and will allegedly release a Surface Phone.

According to The REM, the smartphone is also dubbed as "Juggernaut Alpha" and is expected to arrive in the market in March next year alongside the company's HoloLens developers' kit.

Microsoft is branding the Surface Phone as "the most powerful phone ever". It is expected that the Surface Phone will be patterned with the Surface tablet-laptop. Surface devices were known for their power. Thus, the smartphone could be as powerful as the tablet-laptop devices.

There is an unfounded rumor that Microsoft will integrate the Intel Skylake chipsets in its Surface smartphone. Although it is not the first handset to be powered by Intel chipsets, it is still promising thinking how Surface devices utilized Intel chipsets.

While the rumored Microsoft Surface specs and features are scarce, some of the specifications that emerged include 5.5 inch screen display, 4GB of RAM.

Nothing is certain at the moment. Until now, Microsoft has not revealed the official details of the rumored smartphone.
