It looks like Luke Cage's appearance in "Daredevil" Season 2 has been confirmed.
On its official Twitter account, "Daredevil" tweeted a video giving fans a glimpse of what to expect from the series. Running for 15 seconds, the video started off with a wavering neon sign of Josie's, which is Cage's bar. Then, it revealed the message saying "Welcome to Hell's Kitchen x pick your poison."
According to Polygon, Josie's could be Daredevil's possible "watering hole," which suggests a high probability of Cage's appearance in the second season of the series.
The exact nature of Cage's role in "Daredevil" Season 2 is still unknown at this point, as reported by Movie Pilot. According to the publication, Cage's appearance in the show gives reason in the film's storyline, as the heroes are set to join forces with the "Defenders."
Cage is set to have his own series of the same name, which will connect the storylines of "Jessica Jones" and "Daredevil." The series' production is now ongoing and a Daredevil crossover would not hurt the storyline.
In the comics, Cage, also known as "Power Man," is known to have extraordinary strength and almost impenetrable skin, along with an enigmatic past.
Mike Colter is set to play Cage opposite Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones while Charlie Cox will reprise his role. S.J. Clarkson, who directed Colter in "Jessica Jones," said that Colter had effortlessly brought the powerful physicality, but had been able to show an underlying susceptibility.
"Daredevil" Season 2 and "Luke Cage" are slated to premiere in 2016 while "Jessica Jones" Season 1 Episode 1 premieres Nov. 20.
