Fallout 4 is an open world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks.

A lot of mods have started to appear for "Fallout 4." It appears that fans are becoming more adept at not only exploring the playable world of "Fallout 4," but also the one where they can create a few enhancements to improve or punch up the experience of going through the games.

The newest mods spotted now show off a new secret weapon that features an interesting animation. There is also a new mod that allows to create magnificent settlements in the game.

The first mod, spotted by Kotaku, uncovered a weapon that Bethesda appears to have dropped from the game. A modder who goes by the name of xxdeathknight72xx managed to dig through the game's code. He managed to find a harpoon gun, complete with animation that will amuse players.

A harpoon gun mod is now out, and what it does is to decapitate enemies when fired. To add to the effect, the harpoon gun can even pin the heads to a wall.

What is interesting, as the source pointed out, is that the secret weapon may give insight on the developer's overall plan for "Fallout 4." It could have been an early planned weapon for underwater levels that had been scrapped to fit what is "Fallout 4" now. Or one other way to look at it is through a possible DLC inclusion that will be fully completed once the game's planned DPCs are detailed.

For now, the mod is available for download, and those who want to see what the harpoon gun can do can check out the video below.

The more common mods are those that have been created by players who want to expand the experience of base building. Several players have pushed base building to another level, with some using their own unique mods, while others pouring in more time to create impressive-looking bases.

In a quick compilation of mods and players' "Fallout 4" bases, Eurogamer presented some of the more creative and well-planned bases seen so far among players. Given the limited resources and capabilities in creating a base, some players were able to extend their settlements, like what was done by Redditor Oryx2046 and CloakedWarrior 4323. OMGconex's settlement even features a mini theater for its inhabitants.

For those who want a quick guide on some easy mods to use that could enhance the game itself. Redditor The-ArtfulDodger has compiled a neat list of mods that can be used for this particular issue. In the list, there are mods to lower weapons to a natural hold-level, add a greener tinge to the world for a less apocalyptic view, colorful leaves on trees and improved look for the eyes and blood textures.
