WWE Survivor Series 2015: What’s Next After Sheamus Cashes In, Beats Roman Reigns? [VIDEO]

WWE took a different direction when Roman Reigns beat Dean Ambrose at the Survivor Series

WWE took a different direction when Roman Reigns beat Dean Ambrose at the Survivor Series. However, Sheamus cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to end Reign's short-lived title quickly and became the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Previously, Reigns beat Alberto Del Rio and Ambrose won against Kevin Owen in their respective WWE title tournament semifinal matches. In the finals, Reigns cleanly beat his former Shield buddy Ambrose to clinch his first-ever WWE Championship. However, the party was quickly destroyed by Sheamus, who interrupted Reign's celebration, hit him with two heavy Brogue Kicks, and apparently aligned himself with Triple H as The Authority's next big heel.

As a result, WWE has a new villain who will be under much pressure, as the biggest pro wrestling company in the world heads into the WrestleMania season, Forbes reported.  There are just a few months left to The Royal Rumble, which is the first stop towards WrestleMania 32 and a time when WWE avid fans expect the product to be at its best.

As noted from Wrestling News World, both Monday Night Raw and Thursday Night SmackDown are struggling to sustain viewership, with Raw's hour three constantly losing many viewers and SmackDown viewership experiencing small gains intermittently but largely trending downward.

It will be hard for WWE to break out of this TV ratings rut since cord cutting is swallowing many of its weekly TV viewers at a time when John Cena, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan and other stars are on break.

Now with Reigns being screwed out of his first title possession and Sheamus becoming "The Man" for Triple H and The Authority, WWE may have a huge storyline to move the company into 2016. The main question is whether this will be the biggest angle to be seen in WWE in the near future.
