Both Chromecast and Apple TV plunged into the market at ease, and both went on to catch the number one position to stand out as the best provider of digital TV.

The Internet-TV market is getting more interesting as major tech companies are releasing updates and revamped version of their respective streaming devices. The Black Friday sales event and the upcoming holiday season also add additional perks to these devices that are sure to entice users to upgrade.

In the current Internet-TV market, some contents can be accessed for free while others, like Netflix and the recently launched YouTube Red, require monthly subscriptions. For many users, content is one of major reasons that play a part in deciding which device to pick.

Amazon Fire TV
Amazon has a wide selection of Fire TV devices which also includes the Fire Stick for on $49.99. This year, Amazon released an upgraded version of the Fire TV box that is capable of rendering 4K Ultra HD resolution and supports video games.

Amazon Fire TV supports more than 3,000 channels, games and apps. The deal gets better for Amazon Prime members as they can stream movies and TV series for free and it only cost $99 per year. On top of that, subscribers will also get access to Sling TV, Netflix, Hulu, Showtime Anytime and HBO Now.

Apple TV
Apple released the fourth-generation Apple in October. The new set-top box from Cupertino now supports Siri and it comes with a remote control that allows users to play video games.

The Apple TV has a somewhat limited library of apps and games, but Apple promised that it will grow. Based on its official Apple Store pricing, the 32GB model costs $149 while the 64GB model costs $199.

Chromecast
The Chromecast is an inexpensive and easy-to-use device from Google. It directly connects to a TV via an HDMI cable. It can stream online contents from a desktop computer, tablet or smartphone. Despite being a flagship Google device, the Chrome supports both Android and Apple devices.

The Chromecast costs $35. According to USA Today, Costco and Target are offering a $20 discount for buyers who will purchase two Chromecasts.
