When it comes to smartphones, Blackberry is not far behind especially with its 2015 latest device running Android, the Priv. However, Nexus 6P ranks as its major competitor, which comes with better features. To know which is faster and prettier, a comparison is made between the two newly innovated handsets.
In terms of design, BlackBerry Priv comes with a frame metal, and its back panel is fiberglass with coating on top. It has a curved screen with one edge that can be tailor-made for fast access on notifications and apps. Its most superior feature is the keyboard which can be slid under the screen when not in use. As a BlackBerry, it only comes with a black color with no fingerprint scanner. Meanwhile, the Nexus 6P is packed with superior metal body with rounded edges. Its black panel includes a fingerprint scanner, where its camera is enclosed in a strip of glass that sticks out from the body. It comes in three color variants such as graphite, aluminum, and frost.
In terms of display, BlackBerry Priv has a 5.4-inches AMOLED screen with 1440x2560P resolution, and 540PPI density. For Nexus 6P, it has 5.7-inches AMOLED screen with 1440x2560P resolution and 518PPI density, according to Techno Buffalo review.
In terms of specifications, BlackBerry Priv has Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset with Adreno 418GPU and hexa-core CPU. Nexus has a faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with Adreno 430GPU and octa-core CPU.
As for its Memory, Nexus 6P includes no memory slot with no additions to its external storage. BlackBerry Priv supports 200GB with 3GB RAM.
As per DxOMark, it ranks Nexus 6P number three with 12-MP camera, while BlackBerry Priv offers 18-MP camera that has not been rated.
Provided with a two-year contract from established smartphone companies, BlackBerry Priv is priced at $250; while Nexus 6P costs nearly a half more with $500 unlocked price tag.
