'The Flash' Season 2 Rumors: Barry Allen To Have New Powers Using Velocity 9; Showrunner Confirms No Crossover With 'Supergirl' TV Series! [VIDEOS]

The Flash is a CW Network series developed by writer/producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns.

New details for "The Flash" season 2 will have Barry Allen use Velocity 9 in the show, as well as a confirmation that there will not be a crossover episode with Supergirl.

Season 2 cast member Teddy Sears has revealed new details on how will Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) can beat the evil speedster, Zoom (Tony Todd) as he told Entertainment Weekly that Earth 2 Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) will need Jay Garrick's help in developing a serum that can make Barry faster.

Both Earth 2 Harrison Wells and Jay Garrick had a long and unfriendly relationship in the show as Garrick accused Wells of the particle accelerator explosion in his world that created the metahumans and possibly Zoom. Well denied it at first and made a profit out of it by making weapons against metahumans, but eventually admitted his involvement in the incident to Team Flash in Earth 1.

Sears added that Jay will find out that Wells wanted him as a test subject for his new formula and does not want to be part of his schemes. The interesting factor on Well's offer to test the formula is that it could bring back Jay Garrick's super speed and using the formula on Barry could make him faster or even develop new powers to beat Zoom.

It is speculated by fans that this formula could be the show's version of the Velocity 9, a serum that can artificially tap a person to the speed force, thus making him a speedster. In the comics, Velocity 9 was created by Vandal Savage and it is the same formula that was used on Inertia, Bart Allen/Impulse's clone and arch-rival.

Comic book fans have already seen Barry Allen in several teaser trailers developing new powers and has become faster than he ever was with blue lightning energies coming out of his body similar to Zoom.

In other news, its looks like new details from the rumored "The Flash" and "Supergirl" crossovers have been revealed.

Executive Producer Greg Berlanti told the press and confirmed that their will not be any crossover episodes for "The Flash" and "Supergirl" anytime soon, ComicBookResources reported.

It was not long ago that CBS chairman Nina Tassler stated that a crossover between the two shows will not happen any time soon due to how difficult to set up deal with both series and wanting to develop a separate universe from each other with "The Flash" in CW Network and "Supergirl" in CBS.

Both "Arrow" and "The Flash" TV series will have a two-part crossover episodes this week and will introduce new characters such as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee), Carter Hall/Hawkman (Falk Hentchel) and Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) leading to the introduction for the new spin-off show, "Legends of Tomorrow".

"The Flash" season 2 airs on Tuesdays at 8pm ET on The CW Network.
