Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Update Rolling Out To Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Note 4 (T-Mobile), Update Brings Video Calling, Advanced Messaging

According to latest reports, the mobile carrier T-Mobile is now rolling out Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy Note Edge and Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The latest update brings Video Calling and Advanced Messaging to the devices.

The Note 4 software version will jump to N910TUVU2DOK2 or N910T3UVU1DOK2 and the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge software version will jump to N915TUVU2COK2 following the latest update, according to Android Headlines.

The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will bring several new features and bug fixes to the Note Edge and Note 4. In addition, these devices on T-Mobile will get Video Calling and Advanced Messaging as part of the latest upgrade.

According to the carrier's support page, users can download the update over W-Fi or via Samsung Kies or Samsung Smart Switch.

Users who have yet to get the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update can check manually by going into their Settings, About Phone and checking there.

It is important to note that the software rollout will happen in phases and may take some days or even weeks to hit all devices, iDigital Times reported.

The mobile carrier rolled out Video Calling capability to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in September 2015. Other Samsung devices such as the Galaxy S6 Edge and the Galaxy S6  also got a software update that allowed video calling. T-Mobile said that more Samsung devices will receive the Video Calling feature pretty soon.

The mobile carrier Sprint was the first carrier to roll out Android 5.1.1 update to its version of Galaxy Note Edge and Galaxy Note 4 followed by AT&T.
