The season 1 of "Legends of Tomorrow" is slated to premiere on Jan. 21, 2016 but recent reports suggest that the show may have to be cancelled after just one season. Turns out, the network is just not ready for such a high budget series.

According to Bleeding Cool, fans who are waiting for Constantine to appear in the second season of DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" may end up being disappointed. Recently, there have been rumors suggesting that a crossover may be possible given that Constantine also had a cameo on "Arrow."

"I'm hearing from another well connected source that the show is incredibly expensive and they're not sure if they'll go with a second season, and instead replace it with a totally different show for it," the outlet reported.

Cinema Blend speculated that the network had underestimated the budget needed for the television series. Some fans were quick to point out that "Arrow" and "The Flash" were just as expensive to produce.

The publication, however, explained that given that the series revolves around time travel, the multitude of visual and special effects must be taking a toll on The CW's budget.  It was also pointed out that having just one superhero leading the show was far more budget-friendly.

They added that the series being cancelled after just one season may not be such a bad thing. They held that knowing the show's fate will give the writers enough time to provide viewers an interesting storyline that would end with an epic conclusion that they deserved.
