that iPad Air 3 release date will happen in October, a month after Apple announced the iPad Pro.

After iPad Air 3 was absent in lieu of iPad Pro last October, consumers are speculating the new iPad Air 3 release date. However, this could end up as a figment of imagination.

As the iPad Air 3 has been missing in action for months, Apple fans are predicting that the tablet will be launched in March 2016. This may not be the case as Apple is rumored to update its 12-inch MacBook device.

The 12-inch MacBook will celebrate its first birthday in March next year and will most likely have a successor, MacWorld predicted. The report based its assumption to the fact that the laptop received praise as it is "an impressive machine". The aesthetic design of the device is also top notch with its familiar Gold, Silver, and Space Grey color options.

The 12-inch MacBook owed its success to its fusion of high end features including, a Retina display, a Force Touch Trackpad and a new butterfly mechanism beneath the individually lit keys on the super-thin keyboard. The MacBook also boasts a USB Type-C port, and is among the first to incorporate the said feature.

iPad Air 3 may cannibalize the 12-inch MacBook sales with its rumored specs and features. International Business Times alleged that the upcoming iPad Air 3 will be thinner than its predecessor. It will boast the same 9.7 inch screen display, but with 4K resolution. Under the hood, the tablet is reported to be powered by the A9X processor paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM.

Other top of the line specs purported to be included in the anticipated iPad Air 3 are 3D Touch technology and water and dust resistance.

Despite its high caliber specs, iPad Air 3 is reported to be available in a pocket-friendly price starting at $610, which is way cheaper than the current iPad Pro.
