Scott Derrickson's "Doctor Strange" stars Rachel McAdams.

"Spotlight" actress Rachel McAdams revealed the stance of Scott Derrickson's upcoming Marvel Comics film "Doctor Strange" in Marvel's Cinematic Universe, along with her excitement to be part of the film.

McAdams is part of the cast of Derrickson's "Doctor Strange;" however, nothing has been revealed on the role that she will play. In her interview with MTV at the Gotham Independent Film Awards, the "Spotlight" actress said that "Doctor Strange" was definitely not going to be like any of the other Marvel films, as it would have a very different "visual feel."

It is assumed that McAdams' statement is not questionable because it is known that Doctor Strange has magical abilities, which are expected to provide the visual elements of the film.

In her interview, McAdams also talked about Derrickson and Benedict Cumberbatch, who is playing the role of Marvel's Sorcerer Supereme. The actress said that she just loved director Derrickson and his vision, adding that the filmmaker was so passionate.

McAdams also said that the opportunity to work with Cumberbatch had been kind of a no-brainer and Marvel made amazing films. For the actress, these things had been a "complete package."

While McAdams' role in "Doctor Strange" remains unknown and rumors say that she would play the Night Nurse, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige himself hinted the nature of the actress' role.

In his interview with IGN in October, Feige teased that McAdam's character would serve as the audience's eyes "to a certain extent" and would be "a very, very big part in the movie and represents a certain point of view of the world that people experience in that movie.

Derrickson's "Doctor Strange" centers on the exploits of Strange, a neurosurgeon who loses his hands' fine motor skills after an accident. He meets the Ancient One, a master of magic who trains him to become the Sorcerer Supreme and defend the world from evil.

Aside from McAdams, "Doctor Strange" also stars Amy Landecker, Scott Adkins, Mads Mikkelsen, Michal Stuhlbarg as Nicodemus West, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Karl Mordo, Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One, and Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, among others.

Derrickson's "Doctor Strange" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Nov. 4, 2016.
