Francis Lawrence's "The Hunger Games: Mockignjay - Part 2" reigned at the box office once again, which was followed by Peter Sohn's animated feature "The Good Dinosaur" and sports drama Ryan Coogler's "Creed."
Following its debut in 4,175 locations via Lionsgate on Nov. 20, Lawrence's "The Hunger Games: Mockignjay - Part 2" grossed $52,004,595 recently, according to Fox 2 Now. The Jennifer Lawrence-led film also managed to get $198,545,129 in two weeks, and an average of $12,456.
To date, "The Hunger Games: Mockignjay - Part 2" grossed an estimated $201.1 million domestically and an estimated $243.7 million in other countries, for a total of an estimated $444.8 million on a global scale, according to Box Office Mojo.
Sohn's "The Good Dinosaur" remained at number two at the box office, grossing $39,155,217 recently, following its release on Nov. 25. The animated dinosaur slate opened in 3,749 theaters via Buena Vista and got $55,455,687 in one week, along with the average of $10,444.
On a local scale, "The Good Dinosaur" made an estimated $56.8 million and an estimated $28.7 million from other countries. The combined grosses sum up to an estimated $85.5 million on an international scale.
At the third spot came Coogler's "Creed." The sports drama debuted in 3,404 theaters via Buena Vista on Nov. 25 and recently, it grossed $29,632,823. It made $42,117,349 in one week, with an average of $8,705.
At present, "Creed" made an estimated domestic gross $44 million and an estimated foreign gross of $2.3 million, for a total of $46.3 million worldwide.
The other films following the top three films at the box office include "Spectre," "The Peanuts Movie," "The Night Before," "The Secret In Their Eyes," "Spotlight," "Brooklyn," and "The Martian."
"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2," "The Good Dinosaur," and "Creed" are still showing in theaters.
