OnePlus is permanently making its OnePlus 2 flagship phone available invite-free starting on Dec. 5 as part of their second anniversary celebration.
Those interested buyers of OnePlus 2 flagship smartphone would not need an invite. The Chinese startup company said that they are always trying to enhance the OnePlus experience for its clients, taking risks to push ourselves and show real improvements. This is why they officially announced that OnePlus 2 will be invite-free forever.
Company's co-founder and public face Carl Pei noted that the company will also be giving discounts on accessories and covers. Those with a OnePlus smartphone will get 90 percent off on all accessories for their device, Ubergizmo reported.
There is a mousepad too, that will be available in limited quantities. Also, there is at least 10 percent discount on all accessories, with OnePlus 2 StyleSwap covers going for 50 percent off and select OnePlus One accessories for a fire sale-like 90 percent off.
However, invitations are not gone for good. The recently introduced and even more budget-friendly model OnePlus X will still require an invite for purchase. It is briefly being lifted during a three-day holiday sale, from Dec. 5 until Dec. 7, reflecting the open sale over the Black Friday weekend.
To get an invite for OnePlus X, interested buyers will need to be invited by another OnePlus device owner. They can also join in the company's contests and promotions. In addition, they can get an invite when buying the new OnePlus iPhone case for $20, according to PC Mag.
Currently, 16GB OnePlus 2 has been sold out with a price tag of $329, but stock is available for the 64GB edition, which sells for $389.
