Tom Holland is Spider-Man in Joe Russo and Anthony Russo’s “Captain America: Civil War.”

Robert Downey Jr. confirmed Spider-Man's appearance in Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's upcoming "Captain America: Civil War."

Downey is set to reprise his role as Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man, in the Russos' "Captain America: Civil War." In his interview with Entertainment Weekly, Downey said that Don Cheadle and he were just thinking that they were now like the old guard and their storyline carried real weight just because of their history in the canon."

Downey added that they were also looking around on who thought that Falcon, Black Panther, Ant-Man, and now, Spider-Man, would be in "Captain America: Civil War." For the "Iron Man" actor, it was just "crazy," which he implied in a positive way.

Spider-Man is just like Luke Skywalker in J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens." According to Cinema Blend, Spider-Man is in "Captain America: Civil War," but fans do not know at this point when and how exactly he will appear in the storyline, just like Skywalker in Abrams' upcoming film.

Tom Holland is set to debut Spider-Man in the Russos' "Captain America: Civil War" prior to his solo adventure in Jon Watts' "Spider-Man" reboot. With Marvel remaining silent on the web-slinger's role in the film, it is assumed that such mystery entails something of a huge impact to the film.

Meanwhile, Captain America and Iron Man are set to clash due to the Sokovian Accords in the Russos' upcoming "Captain America: Civil War." The film will see the two Avengers split, forming their own factions. Captain America is joined by The Winter Soldier, Falcon, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, and Agent 13, while Iron Man is joined by War Machine, Black Widow, Vision, and Black Panther.

The Russos' "Captain America: Civil War" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 6, 2016 while Watts' "Spider-Man" reboot premieres on July 28, 2017. Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" hits theaters on Dec. 18.
