With the release of the latest "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" film trailer, which gave fans the first look at Doomsday, it also indicated another possible villain in the form of Darkseid.
Darkseid is rumored to be one of the possible villains in Zach Snyder's upcoming DC Comics slate "Justice League," according to Cinema Blend. Also known as the "god of evil," Darkseid is regarded as the supreme leader of planet Apokolips, Superman's greatest archnemesis, and one of the most powerful villains in DC Comics history.
One of the greatest threats in the DC Universe, Darkseid also has the power to manipulate matter and recreate the universe in his image.
In the latest "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer, there was a sequence that featured black flying creatures while Batman was struggling. Those creatures are called Parademons, Darkseid's favorite minions. They are genetically-created slaves that are bred to maintain order on Apokolips.
With the appearance of the Parademons in the latest "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer, it is linked to be Batman's dream that hints at a bigger threat to come, like Thor's vision in "Avengers: Age of Ultron," according to Movie Pilot.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will set up the foundation to the rise of the superhero team Justice League. Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill are set to play Batman and Superman, respectively. The film also stars Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Jesse Eisenberg, and Amy Adams, among others.
Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Mar. 25, 2016.
