The rumored Apple MacBook Air 2016 is expected to have a metal chassis of a new design, better battery modules and cooling modules.

There are rumors that a redesigned and slimmer MacBook Air 2016 release may happen at WWDC 2016.

MacBook Air 2016 is a long speculated device, as it is expected to be power packed with many fantastic features. With Apple releasing a lot of products already this year, the MacBook Air 2016 is expected to hit the shelves next year.

It is strongly rumored that Apple wants to end its 11-inch range of MacBook's and release it in 13-inch and 15-inch variants, according to Taiwan's Economic Daily News. Moreover, the launch of the devices is expected to happen at the Worldwide Developers Conference, also known as the WWDC event.

This event is scheduled to be held in the month of June next year, hence supporting the rumor about the speculated release date of MacBook Air 2016.

It should be noted that it is now eight years since Apple launched a MacBook Air device. Hence, next year seems a pretty positive time for the tech giant to launch another redesigned MacBook Air.

The upcoming MacBook Air 2016 is expected to be much thinner and lighter than its last version. It is also expected to sport far better specs, which include an improved battery and also the USB Type-C port. The rumor mill also states that the upcoming model of MacBook Air will be featuring a Retina display in addition to being equipped with the latest Intel Sky Lake processors, according to Laptop Mag.

The rumors also state that the latest MacBook Air will loosely be a combination of the MacBook Pro and best features of a MacBook. The inclusion of the 3D touch is one of the most highly rumored features, which may be included in the device.  Only iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus sport this feature till now.
