Naughty Dog recently revealed its upcoming "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" cinematic trailer together with its villain's details at the PSX 2015.
With upcoming action-adventure "Uncharted 4" to be released in Q1 2016, the game's publisher gave away more information about the game's antagonist, Nadine Ross, who was introduced to audiences for the first time this Sunday, Dec. 6, at the PlayStation Experience 2015.
Sony's biggest PlayStation event was held at Moscone West in San Francisco, California.
According to IGN, Nadine Ross, the South African leader of a mercenary army known as Shoreline, is played by white American voice actress, Laura Bailey.
In "Uncharted 4," Ross, who has taken over Shoreline from her general father, leads the group in running "amok all over the world."
During the panel, Naughty Dog also showed new footage that included a tense fight scene between protagonist, Nathan Drake (Nolan North) and Ross, with the latter pounding him to the ground in the quest for a crucifix.
Kotaku reported that the game's creative director Neil Druckmann said that, while the casting controversy over hiring a white voice actress to play a black character has risen since the news emerged, he still stands by his decision.
"A Thief's End" is set three years following the events of "Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception." The plotline focuses on a now retired Nathan Drake, who has hung up his fortune hunter's cap to settle into a normal life with his wife, Elena.
His long-lost brother, Sam, previously thought to be dead, suddenly shows up seeking his help. The brothers then embark on a 'round-the-world adventure in search of a vanished pirate colony and its accumulated treasure.
"Uncharted 4," the fourth and final game in the critically acclaimed "Uncharted" series, is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 4 on March 18, 2016.
