"Somewhere Only We Know" is a romantic-comedy film directed by actress Xu Jinglei that tells the story of Jin Tian, an older woman abandoned by her fiancé. Jin will travel to Prague, Czech Republic, and eventually fall in love to a younger man named Peng Zeyang.

Meanwhile, an extended movie trailer has been released which reveals plot details, longer dialogue scenes and hilarious twists. The trailer also revealed the characters' pranks and emotional attachment scenes, website K Popstarz added.

Xu announced the casts for her sixth film through her official Weibo Microblog account on June 24, 2014. Wang Shuo, who previously worked with Xu's 2006 movie "Dreams May Dream," wrote the script. Mark Lee from Xu's movie "A Letter from an Unknown Woman" heads the photography division. The movie is under Kaila Pictures Co. Ltd., website Film Business Asia revealed.

Considered as one of the "Four Dan Actresses" of China, Xu says in her Weibo account that she is back after two years with a new film. She also apologized for keeping the wait so long, website Sina English reported.

"I've come back after two years with my new film. Sorry for having kept you waiting for so long," she said.

According to Film Business Asia, Xu was last seen in Zhang Yibai's comedy movie "Better and Better" in 2013. It is noted that Xu's last film "My Dear Enemy" in 2008 grossed 111 million yuan (around $17.8 million) at the China box office. This movie was her last directorial film.

"Somewhere Only We Know" dramatizes two love stories set across different time periods. The movie is set to be released on Valentine's Day, the China Entertainment News said.
