Final Fantasy VII PC port is on sale at $10.87, and also available on iOS platform.

Square-Enix has launched the PC port of “Final Fantasy VII” on PlayStation 4. The Japanese video game developer announced the availability of the port was announced at PlayStation Experience in San Francisco.

The game retails for $15.99, but currently it is on sale at $10.87 for the next week, Gamespot reported. The ported version was first announced at PlayStation Experience last year, and it was originally planned for a spring 2015 release.

The version of “Final Fantasy VII” that is now available for Sony’s flagship console is actually a version of the PC port of the game, rather than a straight adaptation of the PS1 original. The HD update of the game was released on Steam a few years ago.

Notably, this version is different than the PS1 version that was made available on the PS3 years ago. It runs at higher resolution and includes trophies, among other changes.

The PC port was expected to make its debut on PS4 when trophies for the game were recently discovered. These are mostly the same as what appears on Steam, but with a few changes. The HD port of the game is also available on iOS, according to The Verge

In addition, Square Enix released its official gameplay-trailer for “Final Fantasy VII” Remake. It includes a third-person, over-the-shoulder camera as its default viewpoint. The game is reportedly taking its visual cues from the 2005 film “Advent Children” and will also make dramatic changes to the game’s classic battle system.

“Final Fantasy VII” is one of the most beloved RPGs of all time, and seen by many as the masterpiece of Square Enix’s acclaimed role-playing series.
