Final Fantasy VII Remake is an upcoming video game remake, developed and published by Square Enix, of the original 1997 PlayStation role-playing video game by Square.

"Final Fantasy VII" remake first in-game trailer entitled "Unreal Engine 4" has been revealed. People are now concerned about the Square Enix's previous decision to change the entire battle system.

The "Final Fantasy VII" game was planned to be episodic, Square Enix's Yoshinori Kitase shared with Famitsu. The Japanese game director said that "Final Fantasy VII's" world is quite big and recreating it with a much advanced technology is indeed a serious undertaking.

"Final Fantasy VII" game director Tetsuya Nomura also shared with Gematsu, "If we dedicated our time to a single release, parts of it would become summarized. We'd have to cut some parts, and additional parts would come in few, so rather than remake the game as a full volume, we decided to do multiple parts."

Meanwhile, "Final Fantasy VII" remake will still make use of the active time battle gauge. However, it will involve new ways to be used. In the trailer, fans will notice the gauge and they should focus on it when it fills and turns into red. Apart from that, the "Final Fantasy VII" game's three party members will also be retained. However, gamers are allowed to switch between them or just play as one of them.

"Final Fantasy VII" remake is aiming for a seamless active combat. According to Nomura, there will not be any actions that need a technique. By using the all-new battle system, it will allow them to do action battles and at the same time fight while thinking smartly and strategically.
