NFL 2015 Season: Detroit Lions vs St. Louis Rams, Preview, Prediction & Predicted Lineup

In a battle of two teams struggling to snare a wild card playoff spot, the Detroit Lions (4-8) and St. Louis Rams (4-8) square off at the Edward Jones Dome this Sunday, December 6 for a Week 14 encounter in the 2015 NFL season.

The Lions had been great in the past month, stringing three straight victories after starting the season with a 1-7 slate.

However, their winning streak was halted by the Green Bay Packers, 27-23, at the Ford Field on December 3rd to keep them temporarily grounded, via ESPN.

A Hail Mary play from the Packers' pair of Rodgers, Aaron and Richard, in the final moments doomed the Lions and gave Green Bay the come-from-behind win.

Meanwhile, the Rams succumbed to their fifth straight defeat in a humiliating loss to the Arizona Cardinals, 27-3, also at their home stadium last Sunday, as per NBC Sports Pro Football Talk.

It was the second blowout loss in a row that St. Louis failed to even score in double digits against their opponents.

Quarterback Nick Foles struggled the whole game, throwing 15-of-35 for 146 yards with no touchdowns and one interception.

Detroit is expected to bounce back from their heartbreaking loss to Green Bay to deal the Rams their six consecutive setback.

Prediction: Lions win, 28-21.
