Bundesliga 2015-2016: Borussia Dortmund vs Eintracht Frankfurt, Preview, Prediction & Predicted Lineup

| Dec 08, 2015 06:44 AM EST

Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus (L) celebrates his opening goal against Wolfsburg with teammates Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Shinji Kagawa.

Powerhouse squad Borussia Dortmund (11-2-2, 35 points) will go for its third straight win in the 2015-2016 Bundesliga season as it clashes with reeling team Eintracht Frankfurt (3-7-5, 14 points) at the Signal Iduna Park on Sunday, December 13.

Borussia Dortmund overcame a tough challenge from fellow contender Wolfsburg, 2-1, at the Volkswagen Arena last Saturday to build a two-game winning run after suffering an upsetting loss to Hamburg last month, as per BBC Sport.

Marco Reus poured in the first goal at the 32nd minute to give BVB the early lead until Die Wölfe left back Ricardo Rodriguez leveled it a minute into injury time.

However, Thomas Tuchel's Japanese midfielder Shinji Kagawa netted the winner two minutes later to deny Wolfsburg the three points in the overall standings.

Dortmund is currently placed second in the league table, five points behind league leaders and defending champions Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Frankfurt suffered its third straight loss and fifth consecutive winless game as the team dropped a sorry 0-1 decision to newly-promoted club Darmstadt 98 at the Commerzbank Arena last Sunday, via SkySports.

Armin Veh's boys cannot seem to find the right rhythm on offense as they were held scoreless by the Lilies' defense.

Die Lilien defender Aytac Sulu scored the lone goal of the match at the half-hour mark to extend Die Adler's woes after the Hesse team forced a 0-0 draw against Bayern in late October.

The prediction is Borussia Dortmund over Eintracht Frankfurt, 2-0. BVB continues its winning run while handing Frankfurt its fourth consecutive defeat.

Borussia Dortmund starting lineup (4-3-3 formation): Burki; Piszczek, Subotic, Bender, Schmelzer; Gundogan, Ginter, Castro; Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang, Reus

Eintracht Frankfurt starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Hradecky; Hasebe, Zambrano, Abraham, Oczipka; Medojevic, Reinartz; Aigner, Stendera, Gacinovic; Seferovic
