The Android Marshmallow update is confirmed to roll out for HTC One M9 in December for the T-Mobile Network carrier.
Mo Versi, HTC USA Chief confirmed the news in a tweet that that HTC One M9 unlocked version will get the Android Marshmallow update with the updated emoji support in this month.
The recently launched HTC One A9 is also scheduled to receive the latest update Android Marshmallow Version 6.0.1 in the coming days. Android Marshmallow was also rolled out to HTC One M8 recently.
According to T-Mobile Support, HTC One M9 is currently being prepped for the upcoming operating system update. Other mobile network carriers are also expected to follow suit and announce their schedule for the Android Marshmallow rollout.
Android Marshmallow comes packed with numerous features such as the power saving feature Doze, according to BGR. This feature will enhance the battery life of the phone by putting the apps to sleep in case the device is also in the sleep mode. It is expected to increase the battery life by at least 30 percent.
Android Marshmallow also comes with a better and much-faster Chrome browser for a faster browsing experience and enhanced support for more international languages. It also comes packed with auto-backup and a verified boot system.
The latest update Android Marshmallow Version 6.0.1 comes with support for almost 200 new Emojis, security patches and numerous bug fixes.
Besides the HTC One M9, One A9 and M8, numerous other devices are also scheduled to get the latest operating system update. They include One M9+, E9+, E9, ME, E8, One M8 Eye, Butterfly 3, Desire 826, Desire 820 and Desire 816.
