New "Thor: Ragnarok" details will feature Charlize Theron, Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain for the a female villain role and Thanos making an appearance in Asgard.
Marvel Studios plans on introducing the first female lead villain for "Thor: Ragnarok" as several names of the character could be Amora the Enchantress, Hela Goddess of Death, Karnila and the Warrior Queen Knorda. Fans have speculated that Amora could be the lead villainess in the film due to her history with the God of Thunder.
Although, the film's production has not yet confirmed which character it could be or the actress that plays her. "In the Heart of the Sea" star Chris Hemsworth gave his personal opinions of which actress could star as the female villain in "Thor: Raganarok". Hemsworth told Cinemablend that his female co-stars from "Snow White" sequel, "The Huntsman: Winter War", Charlize Theron, Emily Blunt or Jessica Chastain could be the best fit for the third Instalment.
Hemsworth praised the three actresses for their incredible work and jokingly admitted that they scare him due to how good they were in the set. Jessica Chastain was recently seen in the "Crimson Peak" opposite "Thor" star Tom Hiddleston. Emily Blunt has been rumored before to be one of the candidates for the lead role of Carol Danvers in the "Captain Marvel" film. Charlize Theron also had her fair share of superhero genre films as she was part of "Aeon Flux" and "Hancock".
Aside from the possible female villain casts, there are rumors making rounds that the Mad Titan Thanos could appear in "Thor: Ragnarok".
According to Moviepilot, Thanos will be appearing during a 10 minute sequence as he is revealed to be the mastermind behind "Ragnarok" as prepares to invade Asgard and retrieve the Tessaract/Space Stone.
Thanos will be facing all of Asgard's forces including Thor (Hemsworth), Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and even Loki (Hiddleston). Odin is killed during his fight Thanos as Thor is beaten badly by the Mad Titan and Heimdall (Idris Elba) was able to save him. Asgard could likely be destroyed in the process which prompt Loki to take revenge against Thanos.
These rumored events could set up "Avengers: Infinity War" as Thanos is hunting the rest of the Infinity Stones in order to take over the universe.
"Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to be release on Nov. 3, 2017.
