NBC has confirmed "The Voice" Season 8 premiere date and the line-up of coaches, and it was confirmed Gwen Stefani is not coming back, Deadline has learned.

Officially returning on Feb. 23, "The Voice" Season 8 will look for a new singing champ to follow the footsteps of "My Baby's Got A Smile On Her Face" hit maker Craig Wayne Boyd.

In August 2014, Aguilera gave birth to her first daughter with fiancé Matt Rutler who they named Summer Rain. The "Beautiful" singer went on a maternity leave for the past three seasons.

On Oct. 14, 2014, host Carson Daly on the "Today" show announced that the No Doubt singer will not fill in for Aguilera again for the eighth season. Before Stefani, Shakira filled in for Aguillera's seat for two seasons.

NBC Entertainment Alternative and Late Night Programming president Paul Telegdy said they are "excited to welcome Christina back to her red chair and can't wait to see how she mixes things up among Adam, Blake and Pharrell, in what will be an incredibly competitive competition."

On the other hand, filling in the vacant seat left by original coach CeeLo Green, "Happy" hit maker Pharrell Williams will extend for one more season in the Emmy-winning singing contest joining the bromance tandem of Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.

With Pharrell's return, the rotation of coaches every other season was broken. "The Voice" creator John de Mol also executive produces the show with Audrey Morrissey, Lee Metzger, Marc Jansen and Mark Burnett.
