Any person who have literally built a desktop or dealt in the purchasing of the graphics card in the present, or in the recent past, have two major choices - Nvidia and AMD.
Over the years, the two companies have competed with each other to improve their overall performance by producing bigger and better cards, which are affordable to the consumers but offers more utility.
It is not at all surprising that the companies in the same sector would compete with each other to gain a competitive edge, but the consumers are sometimes affected negatively in this process many a times. There have been instances that Nvidia has encouraged numerous influential developers to produce games that directly conflict with the drivers and the AMD use, resulting into many malicious effects like memory leaks and even crashes.
If we were to base on records in the last couple of years, Nvidia has been going strong in the competition as they are providing high performance sound cards. When it comes to the specifications and the performance of the cards, then Nvidia is undoubtedly a better choice over AMD.
In order to sustain in the market, AMD recently slashed the prices of their products to increase their sales, but this goes without any doubt that the quality and specifications of the AMD products in the present market is nowhere when compared to Nvidia. Thus, when it comes to the purchasing of the cards, it is safer to opt for Nvidia products even if the price is slightly higher.
